This is a photo of the first Trillium I find in the Smoky Mountains National Park each year. Don't know why. It is right beside the New Found Gap Road in a little ditch. There is still snow up there this year and they are predicting more, so it may be a few more weeks before it lifts it blossom skyward. I will be there watching as soon as the weather clears a bit and it is expected to show its first bud. There is something wonderful about knowing this little spot.
